First Show of '09!

You've heard me say I'm lucky. Now see why.

For my first show of the new year, I headed out to the Midway Cafe in Jamaica Plain, MA. And fortunately, I was able to convince a couple friends to come along.

Here I am singing with the star of my previous blog post, Mr. Mark Lipman:

And, here are two guys you may not know, (but should)--guitarist and writer extraordinaire Timmy Riordan, and, all the way from Washington, D.C., the exceptional Johnny Linn.

Here is John singing with me:

And here are the three of us, with Tim on guitar:

Tim and John joined me on If You See The One, and John also played one of his songs, Quantico Mine (Fool's Gold Miner). He is a such a great writer. Great, great writer. (And, if you follow the blog you may remember: John was the one who gave Teresa Storch Mr. Pickles, Teresa's and my tour mascot last February! The folk wheel comes around again.)

Phew! What a start to a fresh year of shows. Is this is what '09 is going to be like, I can't wait!

I'm planning to blog a lot more this year, so check back soon. Happy 2009!!

Rebecca
